Participants
Which partner countries are coming, and how were they selected?
The Government of Ghana, host of the Third High Level Forum, is extending invitations to the event. All countries that have adhered to the Paris Declaration (regardless of their income level) have been invited. Since one of the objectives of the Third High Level Forum is also to broaden support for the aid effectiveness agenda, the organizers have extended invitations to all low income countries, to most high-income countries active as donors (in particular, all EU and OECD members), and to middle income countries which either receive significant aid flows or provide them as donors. Overall, 162 countries have been invited: 113 which have endorsed the Paris Declaration, 10 additional High Income Countries, 18 additional Middle Incomes Countries and 21 additional Low Income Countries.
How do partner countries not invited to Accra get involved in this process?
Countries interested by joining the efforts for greater aid effectiveness but not currently invited can consider adhering to the Paris Declaration, and will obtain information on the procedure here. They can also contact the organizers of the HLF at secretariat@accrahlf.net for information and advice.
