Roundtable 4: Managing for Development Results Managing for development results is about public sector management. It is about supporting political decision-making based on evidence. Within the Paris Declaration process, the implementation of managing for development results is unfortunately lagging behind. Results require a country system, tools are now developed and partially in place, awaiting action. “You can run, but you cannot hide”.
Results require the involvements of a broad range of stakeholders that is beyond governments, such as parliamentarians and civil society. It also implies risk-taking and openly being held accountable.
Results require capacity and champions to institutionalize national skills. Strong peer-to-peer learning mechanism among partners countries, such as the regional communities of practices, should be supported over the long term.
